Edmund Messina MD is a native of New York City
and a graduate of the University of Illinois College of Medicine
(Chicago). He was an Internal Medicine resident at Michael Reese
Medical Center, (then a University of Chicago affiliate) and completed
his neurology residency at Washington University and Barnes Hospital
in St. Louis, MO.
He received his Board certification in neurology in 1983
and is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, American
Neurological Association, American Medical Association, American
Epilepsy Society, American Headache Society, International Headache
Society and other professional groups.
He is Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at Michigan
State University's College of Human Medicine. He has authored
many computer programs relating to neurology and medicine in general
and he is actively involved in developing expert medical systems
and educational tools. Some of those systems are used in this
practice.
He is an active staff member of E.W. Sparrow Hospital and
on the consulting staff of Ingham Regional Medical Center in Lansing.
