Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update
WE'RE CURRENTLY SEEING ALL OF OUR PATIENTS USING A SECURE VIRTUAL VIDEO CONNECTION.
In view of the recent Coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis, we would like to assure our patients that we are taking all recommended precautions to have a safe environment. In order to protect our patients and our staff, we will be doing all of our visits using a virtual video system for the foreseeable future.
We have found a simple way to see our patients via telemedicine, using a HIPAA compliant secure video connection.
On the day of your appointment, you will need to call the office to check in for your appointment. We will then send you a link via text, and/or email, where you will enter our virtual waiting room. The medical assistant or nurse will then work you up over this secure virtual video site, where your visit will proceed as normal. The practitioner will then get on and complete the visit. The medical assistant or receptionist will call you to schedule your next appointment, or do so at the end of the visit via the virtual video site.
We have been successfully using a similar system for several years for our remote patients around the state, and now we are using it for all of our patient visits, new and return, until the epidemic is under control. Telehealth visits are being paid for by all insurance companies until June 30, 2020 and has been extended by most insurance companies until the end of September.
NEW PATIENTS: We're still accepting and seeing new patients using this easy, yet secure virtual visit system. You'll be contacted and worked up by our Registered Nurse, prior to being seen by Dr. Messina, who will then be able to evaluate you and discuss your health concerns over the secure video connection, the same as he would if you were in our office.
All you need is a smartphone, tablet or desktop computer with a web camera and microphone and a high speed internet connection. We'll take care of the rest to ensure a meaningful visit focused on your health, similiar to what we deliver in our office.

We believe that this is the safest option in view of the current state of emergency. Rest assured, you'll receive the same quality of compassionate care as if you were in our office.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work through these challenging times.
